Ulster Aviation Society Tour 2015
On Saturday, September 19th, Temple 51 together with the PALS group (Provincial Grand Lodge of Antrim Leisure and Social Committee) visited the UIster aviation society(UAS) at the maze complex near Lisburn. The UAS is a privately run charitable status museum run by its own members. They have an extensive aircraft collection and it surely is a hidden gem for a family day out in Northern Ireland.
It was a very enjoyable day. 10d adults and around 30 children were present. We managed to raise £320 for the Victoria jubilee Masonic benevolent fund. there was a visit from the Chopper club who had a brilliant display of their modified motor cycles. We also had a display of historic military vehicles from the UIster Military vehicle club. many thanks to both groups and their support for the event was highly appreciated
The guys at the UIster aviation society give us a very warm welcome and provided us with professional tours of their aircraft collection. It was a very relaxing and informative day out.
