Temple 51 visit the Provincial Grand Lodge Museum and confer a first degree

On Friday 10th June 2016 The members of Temple 51 visited the Provincial Grand lodge Hall in Rosemary Street (PGLH) to confer a first degree on their newest member in the Provincial Grand lodge room. The meeting was hosted by Edenderry lodge 544 to whom we would like to express our thanks for allowing us to confer a first degree. The night went extremely well and was very impressive for the new candidate. We have been told this is the first first degree held in the main Provincial Grand lodge room. We also visited the Provincial Grand lodge museum which is in the basement of the (PGLH). The tour was conducted by WB Robert Bashford and was extremely interesting, he informed us that the museum was actually started by a member of Temple 51 namely VW Brother Samuel Leighton. After the meeting we retired to the Crumlin road hall where lodge 544 very generously laid on a festive board which was enjoyed by all.
